Has (an alledged) genius lost his Midas touch?

Elon Musk is a genius, right?  Well, the jury is still out on that question. But what is certainly true is that by and large he was able to deliver on his visions, become very rich and revolutionise some industries - and even space travel!

Tesla as his main venture (so far) has revolutionised the car industry and has had a huge impact by really exploiting the economic principles of a first mover advantage.

It seems that some of his most recent decisions might not be as successful as he might have hoped.

In 2019, Musk introduced the prototype of his Cybertruck. With a 2 year delay he has now announced the delivery date for the first serial production car, which will be Nov. 30th 2023.

Apparently, the car is so innovative (e.g. body shape, bullet proof windows for a volume model) that Tesla had to learn and refine the production processes as they went along.

We will see if the car will be a success with the Pick Up loving target audience. But on a personal note, I think Musk has delivered some of the most innovative products, which also meant a step forward for society - not sure if the cyber truck will rate as one of them.
