Europe has potential - not just because we won the Ryder Cup this year!

Whilst we have always believed in Europe`s innovative spirit and capabilities, we also come across many sceptics who think the US are miles ahead of Europe when it comes to innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and tech affinity.

Well, if you don`t believe us, take it from John Collison, founder of US-Irish payments behemoth Stripe. He believes that Europe has the potential and must use the opportunity to become the global leader in carbon removals.

And why does he think so? Speaking at a VC event this week, Collison said that unlike the US, Europe has a robust regulatory framework and is home to the bulk of Deeptech talent.

In his view, there is so much political energy and ramped up support for climate tech to be a big deal. So we agree with John, we see it every day with our clients, the new opportunity for Europe should be climate tech.
