UK car sales have fallen to their lowest level since 1992. Of course, this is a worrying statistic but on the plus side, 2020 happened to be the best-ever year for EV sales!
And let’s not forget, we have come a very long way since 2011 where only a handful of EVs were available. Now, with more than 100 models already available and following the UK Government announcement in November who said it would ban the sale of petrol and diesel-powered vehicles by 2030, manufacturers are expected to bring even more electrified vehicles to market in 2021.
Our roads are quieter, our children are breathing cleaner air, there's more options to choose from, range is no longer a concern and the charging network is growing stronger by the day - all thanks to the incredible work of the industry pioneers and EVangelists who are leading from the front to enable the transition to electric vehicles.
So with all that in mind, let’s take all the positives out of an absolutely awful year and make 2021 an even better year for electric vehicles.
