A great piece here from my friend, and Hyperion mobility advisor Lukas Neckermann. Too often we see technologies in isolation, when they are complex and interconnected. Too often, as Lukas says, we see the 'world' revolving around the wrong thing, or fail to see the new world. The car is no longer the centre of the mobility universe. Still a significant piece, but not the centre and it is in decline.
This is a useful short read, with follow on information available.
At Hyperion it is insights like these which enable us to partner with our clean energy and clean mobility clients to make sure our candidates are fit for the present market conditions, and those of the future. Talent is critical to your success. Getting it wrong is costly beyond measure, in stress and in cash! Mobility is a brand new universe that goes beyond transportation. Anyone wanting to understand the ventures and valuations of startups in the sector (or Tesla’s booming share price) should embrace the full scope of this ecosystem.
