Consumers in the United States are climbing aboard the electric vehicle express…. if not with some resistance. EV owners describe the driving experience as, “fun, agile, sporty, and zippy”, likely owing to greater torque than traditional vehicles and power distributed directly to the vehicle’s wheels. Apart from driveability EV owners say they're quiet, cozy, spacious and, major bonus point, easily parked.

Certain geographies have branded EV’s as a partisan support statement, but drivers such as Republican Blake VanWinkle of Wichita Falls, Texas are choosing to drive vehicles like the Tesla 3 simply because it is, “a great car”.

The transition to sustainable transportation needs to be well underway by 2030. With the average lifespan of cars, SUVs and light trucks at nearly 12 years consumers need to make the shift away from fossil fuel powered vehicles now.
