Innolith, the Swiss energy technology startup claim to have developed the world’s first lithium-based rechargeable battery with an energy density of 1000 Wh/kg. This means it would enable EVs to travel on a range that surpasses 600 miles on just a single charge.
This is great! However, it is hard not to be sceptical given the amount of false claims and failed attempts to bring such battery tech to market.
Nonetheless, if Innolith's 'energy battery' does what it says on the tin and does indeed make its way to market, this will surely ease if not eradicate the concerns of the range and charge anxious motorists and most certainly speed up the EV adoption process.
