The government has recently proposed a plan to encourage drivers to buy low-emission vehicles by changing out normal number plates for a greener option.
This will be a way for cleaner vehicles to be easily recognisable on the roads showing off their day-to-day ease of use. This is a practical approach to prove that there is no need to buy a new polluting diesel powered vehicle anymore.
The plan will be introduced with a few special privileges including the use of priority traffic lanes, use of ultra low-emission zones and parking spaces with charging points.
Similar schemes have already been rolled out in Canada, China and Norway and this initiative could be established within the next few years.
On October 12th myself and the rest of the Hyperion team will be heading down to Cenex so if anyone wants to grab a coffee and have a chat, make sure to get in touch through LinkedIn or Twitter.
“Clean” cars will be fixed with green number plates in an effort to encourage drivers to buy low-emission vehicles, the Government has proposed.
